Amalie Stalheim

 

Norwegian cellist Amalie Stalheim (b. 1993) is one of today's most promising musicians in Scandinavia.

Amalie is the winner of the Soloist Prize 2018.

Highlights of season 2018/2019 includes solo performances with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Sweden, Kuopio Symphony OrchestraGothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Nordic Chamber Orchestra, Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Swedish Radio Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra.

 In 2018 she was appointed Artist in Residence at the Swedish Radio P2.

Stalheim was included in "Crescendo" (2018), the unique Norwegian mentorship program for young musicians with extraordinary soloist potential. The mentors of the program are Leif Ove Andsnes, Robert Levin and Janine Jansen.

She is also the winner of Ljunggren competition in Sweden, and she was awarded the prestigious Firmenich Prize at Verbier Festival Academy 2015.
